Clerk of Courts achieves density and efficiency goals using a variety of storage methods.
The Lake County Court House in Painesville, Ohio was in need of expansion. They were completely out of space and putting records wherever room could be found. Employees would have to search on multiple floors for a record.
They purchased an old post office building and remodeled it for the Clerk of Courts offices, the Recorder of deeds, and other offices. During the new construction planning, the storage areas were redesigned to maximize capacity and consolidate most of their records into one area.
Spacesaver rotary systems and Spacesaver high-density mobile systems were used to make the office run efficiently. Twenty-two rotary systems were are used to store active case files. Counter-height systems in accounting provided convenient accessibility for high-use files. Spacesaver Powered mobile systems store a large amount of older, less active case files in a small amount of space.
The Recorder of Deeds used Spacesaver High Density Mobile shelving with deed book rollers to improve capacity and research tables for their reference books.
