“Storage Solved” at a state crime lab.
When the Wisconsin State Crime Laboratory in Madison moved into renovated quarters in a 40-year old building recently, they more than doubled their space, allowing them to bring formerly split departments together, consolidate evidence from multiple locations, and gain space for archival records previously stored off-site.
A mechanical assist mobile system in the firearms room accommodates the wide variety of designs and dimensions of the 1,500 handguns and 1,000-plus long guns. The mobile system, customized with weapons racks, slatwall and pegs, compacts the gun collection into half the space.

A powered mobile system not only consolidated evidence into one central area, but also quadrupled the space for evidence storage! The powered operation assures smooth starts and stops, so evidence is not dislodged.
A mobile system in the new archives room accommodates records brought on-site and allows future growth, while freeing up much-needed workspace in the same room. The mechanical assist mobile system provides 26,712 linear feet of storage.
